Unlike Green Star Elite, Green Star GS-1000 has no mixing stage in the juicing process; only pressing and crushing stages. However it is still proven that with just the two stages, it is enough to yield much more juice quantity and best of all the quality is ensured. Compared to similar models in the market, like the masticating Champion G5 PG720 Juicer, or Jack Lalanne juicer, Green Star yields more nutritional values and maintains on the efficiency as well.

Just the day I also tried out on the frozen fruit ice cream and to my utter amazement, it was so easy to make. All I need is just the juicer and frozen blueberries and strawberries. The result produced is just so amazing that straight off I had fallen in love with the Green Star Juicer even more!

Advertised as one of the easiest juicers to clean, the detachable parts are easily removed for cleaning purposes. However always be aware that if the screw knobs are screwed too tight or loose, it might creates excess squeaking noises.

Just like the Green Star Elite, this juicer could also suck the leafy green vegetables easily into the funnel and no efforts are needed in doing so. However, there are a few drawbacks on this juicer. People who fancy extracting juices from leafy vegetables might find that this juicer produces more foam than any other juicers in the market. Besides that, additional parts such as pasta makers and mochi makers are not included in the package hence the need to buy them separately.

Overall, Green Star GS-1000 Juice Extractor is still ranked as the best selling model of its kind in the market. Many people acclaim that it manages to extract almost anything to perfection such as the bell pepper, cucumber, lettuce and celery. While it may not be the latest model in the market currently, but in terms of pricing wise, it certainly beats the rest! I would definitely recommend this juicer to anyone looking for value for money purchases.

The easy assembling and disassembling of the machine is definitely an added advantage for any new and beginner users out there. There will be no more tricky and complicated screw knobs to remove the compartments but using easy latch instead.

Oh and did I mention the twin gear feature? Twin gear feature enables finer and a smoother texture of juice to be produced. However it is always important to make ascertain that the twin gear is handled with care during cleaning process because they are a few comments from the users out there saying that the plastic edge chipped off once they dropped it onto the floor. Green star Elite is also the world first juicer with triple stage twin juicer. The gear comprises of three stages which is; crushing stage, pressing stage and mixing stage.

When you buy the Green star Elite GSE-5000 Juicer, it comes with either a wooden or plastic temper. Personally, I would recommend you to choose the wooden one because it is much safer to be use. Keep in mind that there are certain ways of using the temper and if you fail to do as it should, the gear will practically eat up the plastic (that’s if you chose the plastic one!). Whereas wood is just made out of fibre so even if it does indeed accidentally feed onto the gear, it won’t spoil the juice as it is a FDA certified wood.

To top it all off, the nice thing about this juicer is that you will also receive a glass juice collection bowl to collect the juice and a strainer to be put on top of the collection bowl to strain the juice further. Another thing that I would like to point out is the outlet adjusting knob. Not many other juicers has this knob where it keep the produce/pulps inside the machine until it gets really dry where only then does it pushes the pulps out.

After using this juicer for quite sometimes, I also realize that it is very, very quiet so there is no need of worrying that the sound of the juicer might woke your neighbors up even at late nights! Another wonderful thing about this juicer is that it could almost suck the leafy vegetables in without even pushing it into the funnel. Vegetables such as wheatgrass, parsley and celery could easily goes into the funnel by themselves without any effort.

On the whole, this Green Star Elite GSE-5000 Juicer Extractor is great for juicing things like apples, carrots, celery and a lot of other general things, but if you intend on only juicing say wheatgrass specifically, this is definitely not the right machine for you. The reason why it is not suitable for wheatgrass only is because it tends to produce a lot of foam and the yield produced is not that high as to compare with other juicers in the market.
